Google Classroom – Parent & Student Login Instructions
Connecticut Tamil Sangam has created Google accounts for Bharathi Tamil School students to access Google Classroom.
Parents are requested to help their children complete the setup and verify that they have joined the correct classroom.
1. Log in to Gmail
Open Gmail on a computer, tablet, or phone.
Sign in using the Bharathi Tamil School student account provided to your child.
Student Username
The username format is:
For example, if the student's ID is 12345, the username would be:
2. Enter the Password
The student's password will be shared separately via WhatsApp.
Please keep the password confidential and do not share it with anyone outside the family.
3. Open Google Classroom
After successfully logging in to Gmail:
Go to Google Classroom: classroom.google.com
Make sure you are signed in using the Bharathi Tamil School student account.
Look for the invitation to join your child's assigned classroom.
Open the classroom invitation.
Verify the location, grade, and section.
Click Accept / Join to join the class.
4. Verify the Correct Classroom
Parents and students are requested to verify that the student has been assigned to the correct classroom.
Please check that the classroom matches the student's:
Location: MN / SWE / SWW
Grade: Pre-K / KG / 1–8
Section: Correct section
If the classroom information appears to be incorrect, please contact:
Please include the student's name, student ID, location, grade, and section when reporting an issue.
5. Important: Use the School Account
Please make sure your child is using the Bharathi Tamil School Google account when accessing Google Classroom.
If a personal Gmail account is already signed in on the device, Google Classroom may open under the wrong account.
If necessary:
Sign out of the personal Google account, or
Use Add another account and sign in with the student's Bharathi Tamil School account.
6. Parents' Role
Parents are requested to help their children:
✅ Log in to the student Gmail account
✅ Open Google Classroom
✅ Accept the classroom invitation
✅ Verify the correct location, grade, and section
✅ Confirm that the student can access the classroom
✅ Contact IT if there are any discrepancies
Please complete the setup as soon as possible so students can receive classroom announcements, assignments, and other communications.
