Google Classroom – Teacher Login & Classroom Setup Instructions

Connecticut Tamil Sangam has created Google Classroom accounts for Bharathi Tamil School teachers.


Teachers are requested to complete the following steps to access their Gmail account, accept their classroom invitation, and verify the student assignments.


1. Log in to Gmail

Open Gmail and sign in using your Bharathi Tamil School credentials provided to you.

Your username follows this format:

Location + Grade + Section + @bharathitamilschoolct.com

Locations

  • MN – MN location

  • SWE – SWE location

  • SWW – SWW location

Grades

  • PREK

  • KG

  • 1

  • 2

  • 3

  • 4

  • 5

  • 6

  • 7

  • 8


2. Username Examples

For example:

Location: SWEGrade: Pre-KSection: A

Additional examples:

Please use the exact username assigned to you.


3. Password

Your password will be sent to you separately via WhatsApp.

Please keep your password confidential and do not share it with others.


4. Accept Your Google Classroom Invitation

After successfully logging in to Gmail:

  1. Check your Gmail inbox for the Google Classroom invitation.

  2. Open the invitation.

  3. Verify that the location, grade, and section are correct.

  4. Click Accept / Join to join your assigned classroom.

  5. You can also open Google Classroom and check for your classroom invitation.


5. Verify Student Assignments

After joining your classroom, teachers are requested to verify that all students assigned to their class are correct.

Please check:

  • Correct location

  • Correct grade

  • Correct section

  • Correct student names

  • No students are missing

  • No students are incorrectly assigned to your classroom

If you notice any discrepancy, please contact:

Please provide the student's name, location, grade, and section when reporting an issue.


6. Encourage Parents to Join Google Classroom

Teachers are requested to encourage all parents to complete the Google Classroom setup.

Parents will receive separate instructions for logging in with their assigned Bharathi Tamil School credentials.

Please remind parents to:

  1. Log in using the credentials provided to them.

  2. Open Google Classroom.

  3. Look for the invitation to their child's class.

  4. Verify the location, grade, and section.

  5. Click Accept / Join to join the classroom.

  6. Confirm that they can access the correct class.

Please encourage parents to complete this process as soon as possible so that teachers can communicate with students and parents through Google Classroom.


7. Important Notes

  • Use your Bharathi Tamil School Google account, not your personal Gmail account.

  • Your password will be provided via WhatsApp.

  • Do not share your school account password.

  • Teachers should accept their classroom invitation after logging in and verifying the classroom details.

  • Teachers should verify that students are assigned to the correct classroom.

  • Please encourage parents to log in and accept their child's classroom invitation.

  • Report any account, classroom, or student-assignment discrepancies to:
